Fine pianos uniquely translate a player's touch into beautiful musical expressions that move both performer and audience. To maintain this precision, these instruments require regular tuning and adjustment. This service is designed for premium pianos including Yamaha CX/SX/CF, Steinway, Mason & Hamlin, Shigeru, Bösendorfer, Bechstein, Blüthner, and Schimmel.

Prelude Service

WHO IS THIS SERVICE FOR?

The Prelude Service marks a new beginning for pianos that haven't received regular maintenance. During our first visit, we thoroughly assess areas of deferred maintenance that could significantly improve performance. We'll create a restoration plan, then systematically work to bring your piano back to its full potential.

  • 2.5-3 hours with Senior technician

  • Initial Evaluation (New Clients)

  • Pitch Correction +/- 25¢

  • Fine Tuning

  • Light Cleaning

  • Touch-up Voicing (make it more melodic)

  • Touch-up Regulation (make keys easier to play)


Institutional Pianos

WHO IS THIS SERVICE FOR?

Piano which are played a lot need regular services which go beyond tuning. For these pianos we emphasize tuning stability, regular cleaning, vacuuming, and removal of “foreign objects” like pencils and paperclips, on-the-fly hammer shaping and voicing, and spot regulation.

WHO IS THIS SERVICE FOR?

The casually or occasionally used home or business piano may not be played all the time, but it always needs to be playable. This service focusses on reliability, functionality, and cleaning.
